There are maps that trace the visible world. And then there are maps that attempt to articulate what remains unseen — the inner terrains of shame, loss, improvisation, and the quiet unravelling of what we once believed to be fixed within ourselves. Vol. XIX of the PRJ Compilation series belongs firmly to the latter category.
“Cartography of Wounds” gathers five artists from five different countries, each exploring a deeply personal emotional and sonic landscape. Their approaches differ, their vocabularies diverge, yet they are united by a shared impulse: the willingness to turn inward — and, crucially, to render that inward journey audible.

Three Wise Monkeys – “Reading the Cadence of Another“
[Australia | Experimental Progressive Rock, Fusion]
Purchase on Bandcamp: https://threewisemonkeys.bandcamp.com/album/comprovisation
Comprovisation: to improvise a composition. An explorative musical journey unfiltered from editing or post production. At the heart of it, it is letting each musician speak, and allowing the musical conversation to flow. The resulting works encapsulate a once off experience for the listener, which unlocks the core musical message that did not exist prior to
it being expressed. ‘Reading the Cadence of Another’ is an awareness one must possess, to be able to engage
in this musical conversation, one which the listener is welcome to join.
Dmytro Radzetskyi Band – “Break Before Nothing“
[Ukraine | Jazz Prog, Fusion]
Purchase on Bandcamp: https://dmytro-radzetskyi.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-gram
Recorded live and offered as a free download, “Break Before Nothing” is the kind of track that justifies the existence of live jazz-fusion. Dmytro Radzetskyi and his band navigate the tension between precision and spontaneity without resolving it — and that unresolved tension is exactly where the music lives. An act of generosity from an artist who deserves far wider recognition.
Maksymilian Marzec – “The Very Loss and The Very Happiness“
[Poland | Experimental Progressive Rock]
Purchase on Bandcamp: https://maksymilianmarzec.bandcamp.com/album/i-just-wanted-to-have-a-normal-childhood
Progressive rock is not a genre, it never was in the first place. If you mean the odd meters, odd chords or long songs, you’re probably talking about math rock or jazz rock.
Atrial Flutter – “The Rise and Fall of Hopes and Dreams“
[UK | Depressive/Dark Progressive Rock]
Purchase on Bandcamp: https://atrialflutter1.bandcamp.com/album/dark-day-palpitations
Released in April 2026, “Dark Day Palpitations” is Atrial Flutter’s unflinching exploration of the heart on its darkest days — primarily alternative progressive rock with elements of post and depressive rock, mostly dark, with occasional moments of fragile light. “The Rise and Fall of Hopes and Dreams” is available as a free download, offered without condition to whoever needs it most.
Melting Brain Club – “Auto Assassin“
[Norway | Heavy Prog]
Purchase on Bandcamp: https://meltingbrainclub.bandcamp.com/album/spiritual-filth
Spiritual Filth is an album about trying to deal with severe shame and self-hatred as well as the paranoid state of someone counting down the days before facing eternal damnation. Dealing with isolation, hatred and fear. Through the philosophies of letting go, giving in and fighting back, Spiritual Filth is a warm embrace as well as a cold shower for anyone facing the void. We’re deconstructing love and empathy until there is nothing left. How can any human excuse their toxic existence on this planet? You have to forgive them all to forgive yourself. We all have a murderer in us.
The apathy of forgiveness is devastating.
