Welcome to another installment of our editorial team’s most expansive and experimental sonic explorations, where this month we dive into the lysergic worlds of Psych, the orbits of Space Rock, and the hypnotic rhythms of Krautrock. The June selection opens with the return of The Dharma Chain and their track “Inside A New,” which previews the second album “Some Kind Of Pure State” alongside the announcement of their tour dates. High anticipation also for the debut of Psychedelic collective Blind Yeo, presenting “Colour Pillow/Kologo” from the upcoming record “The Lemoine Point.” We continue with the rarefied atmospheres of Tara Clerkin Trio and their third single “Lazy Days,” and with the Garage-Psych of Sun Q, who return with their new work “Mythwave.” For those seeking more saturated sounds, we have included “Sixteen” by Skip Danko B-Movie Road Club, a track steeped in Desert-Psych Rock, and the unreleased “Revived” by Ukrainian act Rising Sabotage, recovered from the “Planet Dies” sessions. Also featured are the Heavy drifts of Robot God with “Cerebral Annihilation,” taken from their recent work “Onto The Afterlife.” Classic-style Space Rock is represented by Quantum Fantay with the track “Xemuta,” reviewed right here on our pages. Finally, this month we pay tribute to the history of the genre through the digital reissues by Bacillus Records: we rediscover Dschinn with their “Fortune” and the legendary Dzyan with “The Road Not Taken,” a masterpiece originally released in 1974 on the album “Electric Silence“”
