Athens based multi-instrumentalist Theron Bennett, operating under the creative moniker Hoodoo Lord, has officially released the music video for his expansive track, “A Longing for Existence.” The song serves as the monumental, 12-minute finale to his sophomore full-length album, “Realm of Sleep,” which was released on April 08, 2024.

Written, recorded, and produced entirely by Bennett just outside the historic music hub of Athens, Georgia, “Realm of Sleep” captures Hoodoo Lord’s distinctive fusion of Heavy Psychedelic Rock, Stoner Metal, and Grunge. Bennett — inspired by the foundational weight of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix — crafted the album over a intensive series of sessions between the Summer of 2023 and late winter of 2024.
At exactly twelve minutes, “A Longing for Existence” stands as the album’s most ambitious composition. The track transitions from Atmospheric, reflective passages into Heavy, riff-driven movements, highlighting Bennett‘s meticulous self-production and raw multi-instrumental execution. The newly released official video acts as a Dark, hypnotic companion to the track’s slow-burning intensity, offering fans a visual anchor for the album’s closing act.
