Israeli Progressive Cinematic Metal pioneers Amaseffer have officially returned. After an 18-year silence, the acclaimed band unveil the second chapter of their long-awaited comeback with the release of the epic track “Lady of Slaughter” on September1, 2026, taken from the forthcoming album “When The Lions Leave Their Den,” due worldwide on October 8, 2026.

The band’s 2008 debut, “Slaves For Life,” established Amaseffer as one of the most ambitious names in progressive metal, blending crushing riffs, symphonic orchestrations, authentic Middle Eastern instrumentation and cinematic storytelling into an unforgettable musical experience. Now, nearly two decades later, mastermind Erez Yohanan finally continues the band’s monumental “Exodus” trilogy.
The new album, “When The Lions Leave Their Den,” picks up the Biblical narrative from the day of the Exodus through Moses‘ ascent to Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments. Rich in orchestral arrangements, authentic Folk instrumentation, multilingual narration and Cinematic sound design, the album expands Amaseffer‘s unmistakable vision while introducing a fresh vocal dynamic through new lead singers Lukky Sparxx and Jessica Mercy.
For Erez Yohanan, this release represents the continuation of a journey that began over twenty years ago:

Beyond Amaseffer, Yohanan has built an impressive career as a producer, composer and audio designer, collaborating with artists including Orphaned Land, Scardust, Desert, Stormy Atmosphere, Orpheus Blade and many others. His work also extends into theatre productions, film scores and video game audio design for companies including Ubisoft and Psyonix.

Amaseffer is an Israeli Progressive/Folk Metal band formed in Tel Aviv in June 2004. Created by drummer and percussionist Erez Yohanan, the project was envisioned as an epic, three-part musical trilogy detailing the Biblical Exodus. Guitarists Yuval Kramer and Hanan Avramovich soon completed the core trio. The group derived its name from the Hebrew phrase Am Ha’Sefer “People of the Holy Book.”
