British Heavy brassy and Bluesy Rock band. Although being managed by Andrew Oldham (of English label Immediate and manager of The Rolling Stones) their LP and single were originally only released in Germany. There is very little information about this band, as rare as the record they released. A single titled “Widow Woman” with the track “Signed D.C.” on Side B was also taken from their only album in 1973, both for Kuckuck Records. While the band was working on a second album, they were contacted by manager Adrian Millar, who had gravitated to Black Sabbath for a while to support singer David Kubinec. They thus formed the Glam Rock band The Rats, whose only album did not see the light of day until 2006, thanks to RPM. What remains is this good album “The Hundredweight” with seven tracks of Heavy Psych/Heavy Prog with a Blues tinge and the memory for those who experienced them of their live performances, especially in Germany. The record was reissued again for Kuckuck and is out of stock, while another more recent reissue came out in 2023 for Greek Missing Vinyl.
