Abstrakt Lake is the Electro-organic project of multi-instrumentalist Balthazar Klimt. A curious musician who dabbles in everything, Balthazar has spent the last ten years working on projects influenced by Rock, Electronic, Metal, Progressive Rock, and World Music.

Abstrakt Lake‘s music is based on field recording, i.e., recording sounds outdoors, or at least outside the controlled environment of a studio. In this very case, the music comes from field recordings made around a lake, in Seine-et-Marne, France. Water, trees, gentle wind… and frogs singing!

The samples were embellished later in the studio with vintage synths and drums, as well as lovely cello parts, arranged and played by Kharkiv musician Artem Litovchenko (Thy Catafalque, Bruno Karnel…). The result is a Downtempo, Dreamy, Ambient/Post-Rock track.

Little Letoon,” from the forthcoming album “Moments // Elements,” to be released by Wormhole World Records on March 13, 2026 was produced by Vadik Squarez, from Riga-based Pop-Metal band All the Devils.
