Seattle Prog Rock band Antinode has released a new song entitled, “Finale,” along with an accompanying one-shot comic book written by frontman Travis Corwin. This is the follow-up to the 2021 release of their acclaimed concept album, “The Canary that Named the Stars.”
“The individual technique of the artists involved is of a high level and they demonstrate this by creating tempo changes and sometimes intricate but always accessible passages. Antinode is excited to build on their conceptual vision with this multimedia crossover. The release of Finale follows a successful Kickstarter campaign for the comic book, which described the project like this:
“In the aftermath of an apocalyptic event, a lone woman named Ása must venture across the dangerous landscape to deliver a mysterious message. But when a figure from her past emerges to threaten the mission, how far will she go in the name of hope? With twisty, Twilight Zone-esque revelations and moral quandaries, it’s a story that’s sure to keep you guessing… and stick with you long after you finish reading.”
