Autómata is a Parisian quartet formed in 2019, consisting of keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums. Their debut self-titled album, released in 2021, has been described by Core&Co as a fusion of multiple genres and artistic realms, including the pictorial, cinematographic, and literary (including poetic) arts.
Their second album “Heart Murmur” is released by Atypeek Music and Araki Records. Smashing Skull Sessions characterizes it as follows: “If you’re seeking experimental post-rock infused with electro, Autómata is tailor-made for you. If you desire something a bit different and highly avant-garde, Autómata is still the perfect choice!“

“Heart Murmur” is tailored for all cinema enthusiasts and those captivated by post-apocalyptic atmospheres. The album, shaped within the context of its creation amid a pandemic and national/international political turmoil, is a product of both anxiety and hope.
Recorded and mixed at Labosonique Studio by Donatien Ribes and mastered by Lionel Laquerrière (known for NestorIsBianca, IOLOGIC, Geysir), “Heart Murmur” even more so than its self titled predecessor, aspires to transport you into an unbounded instrumental space. Within its compositions, elements of Post-Rock, Folk, Ambient, Electronica, Synth-Wave, Metal and Progressive collide, creating a sonic journey that transcends genre boundaries.
