“Blurring the Lines of Reality” expands the scope and scale of our 2021 LP “Pound of Flesh” with more sonic textures, eastern flair, and trademark Heavy grooves. The album was recorded and mixed by our long running partner Frank “The Punisher” Marchand in December 2021 and February – May 2022 and mastered by Kent Stump at Crystal Clear Sound.

At nearly 13 minutes, “Burning the Goddess” closes out “Blurring the Lines of Reality” in epic fashion. The song is a story about beauty and arrogance. Steve wrote it in isolation during lockdown in 2020, and it was inspired by the news about the Amazon fires and massive rainforest burns caused by agricultural concerns. It’s about our arrogance, and how we try to control and manipulate the creator and protector of life, Mother Nature.
