The Barcelona’s Hard Rock band Cöntraband releases “La Tormenta Perfecta” (“The Perfect Storm”), the second single from what will be their new LP, being the title-track (Beatclap, 2024).

After the publication of “Mamarracho” (“Clown”) on September 13, as the first single from the LP “La Tormenta Perfectaa” and as a start to the promotion and publication of said LP, Cöntraband chooses to change the record with respect to the previous single, and offer a song with another style and other dynamics, to continue taking another step in its evolution, seeking a more defined sound.
As indicated in the previous press-release, this new album has been recorded at AXTudio (Barcelona), mixed and mastered by Óscar David and produced by the same band, during the months of April to July of this year.
“La Tormenta Perfecta” brings together different parts and influences in the same song, going from the delicacy of a quiet introduction to a powerful chorus, showing new edges of the style that the band is gradually building. The lyrics are intended to be a wake-up call and a vital message in the face of the destiny to which human beings and the earth are hopelessly headed, if the frenetic pace it leads is followed. Currently, all the conditions are in place to end up destroying everything: Climate change, ferocious consumerism, wars, pollution, hunger and misery. Straight to a shipwreck and it seems that no one wants (or can) avoid it.
The live presentation of “La Tormenta Perfecta” will be held on November 30 at the Ateneu Santfeliuenc (Sant Feliu de Llobregat), within the 4th edition of the Ateneu Rock (festival created for the promotion of local bands), together with the local band Inner Fight . Cöntraband hopes to have all the support of the public, followers and media, to make this album and this presentation a “perfect storm” that allows the band to continue growing and achieve new goals.
