Hailing from the city of Bjelovar in Croatia, Them Moose Rush is a Rock band unlike any other. Working in a genre fuelled by pomp and circumstance the Eastern European trio have always done things for themselves, and in doing so, done said things inimitably.
Combining vintage vibes with Math-Rock, prog and unusual time signatures, their approach to making music explodes with innovation. Directing their own videos, hiding cyphers in songs, and rocking harder, faster, and stronger than everyone else, where Them Moose Rush returned last summer with “T-Jay,” they now bow out with “Old Bones,” their final single from “Zepaxia.”
Watch the official video through the YouTube player below:
“The character in the video, the one with the typewriter has appeared a couple of times in our music videos over the years,” explains guitarist/vocalist, Nikola Runjavec. “It is now softly revealed with this video that the main point is that the character is creating a universe around him using a typewriter.”
Employing crazy DIY antics, “Old Bones” is a frenetic Mars Volta-esque jaunt into the dusty corners of your psyche, using skewed guitar play to jolt and electrify your synapses and sensibilities. The video was produced using using motion tracking (thankfully no AI) with Unreal Engine, meaning that all character’s movements were recorded in real time by real people. A technique typically used for expensive Hollywood blockbusters.
Continuing to chaotically challenge listeners’ perceptions of what a rock and roll trio is truly capable of, “Zepaxia” is out now on Dostava Zvuka/Dirty Old Label and can be ordered HERE.
