Italian Heavy Metal outfit Deva Silence is set to unleash their highly anticipated debut album on September 20, 2024. Formed during the turbulent “Covid” era, the band brings a unique blend of 70s-inspired Doom, NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) and Italian Progressive Rock, delivering a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly innovative.
Led by the band’s namesake, Deva Silence (Bass, Rhythm Guitar, and Vocals), alongside Massimiliano Martellotta (Drums) and Alex Nespoli (Lead and Acoustic Guitar), the trio fuses heavy, granite-like riffs with melodic and Progressive passages that evoke the sounds of classic bands like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and King Crimson.
The project originated in 2020, when Deva Silence, like many musicians during the pandemic, began crafting new material that reflected the isolation and introspection of the times.
