Epitaph pay tribute to their friend Mario ‘Vugan’ Piemontese who recently passed away with the release of the video for “Sizigia” from the 2017 album “Claws.” The video footage was shot in 2017 by Mario Piemontese and, in memory of their dear friend, the band decided to complete the project by making the video with editing by Mattia Stancioiu.

In addition, in preparation for the Church Of Crow Doom Festival III Edition to be held in Pinerolo on 2 and 3 May, Epitaph will be joined by Felipe Plaza as singer. Here is the comment of the Chilean-born artist, frontman of Procession and Capilla Ardiente among others: “It is no secret that I am obsessed with the Italian dark sound, Doom and the mystical gloom of Black Hole and Epitaph, whom I proudly call “my old friends”. A friendship sealed with blood, sweat, back pain and powerful riffs in the ‘Pacto de Sangre’ tour we did together in 2017.
That’s why, when Mauro called me a few days ago and told me that they didn’t have a singer for the upcoming (and I would say unique) festival ‘CHURCH OF CROW’ in Pinerolo on 3 May, I couldn’t believe it… after years of hard work and after coming back on the scene with one of the best Doom Metal albums in years, this was absolutely not right!
So it was a natural decision, ‘luckily’ I’ll be in Italy that very same weekend! So here I am… we gather around us all the nameless demons and make the spirited walls of the Chiesa San Giuseppe shake in a dark and unrepeatable sound experience.
