The Danish Progressive Metal band Feather Mountain will release its new single “Pariah” on May 27, 2022. “Pariah” is the second single of the band’s second album “To Exit a Malstrom” set for a release on September 2, 2022.
From their inception, Feather Mountain has consistently labored towards creating music that utilizes the contrasts from the heaviness of Metal and the dreaminess of Alternative Rock. Feather Mountain debuted in 2019 with the album “Nidus” with which they conveyed their own personal, faceted version of newer Progressive Metal.
On its second album “To Exit A Maelstrom,” the Feather Mountain confronts the loss of a dear one to a slowly dissolving disease and simultaneously searching for peace of mind and gaining new perspectives on life.
The band elaborates on the new single: “Pariah is one of the heaviest and darkest songs we’ve ever written. Lyrically we dive into mania and the feeling of being cut off from the world around you. Our signature contrasts remain, but as the song descends deeper into wrath the band finally comes together and hits like a sledgehamer. Pariah has quickly become one of our favourite songs to play live.”
