Following the limited release of their debut album “Violet Crown,” French Fuzz Stoner/Heavy Blues Rock quartet Voodoo Queen unveil the official music video for “Bright Cage,” one of the album’s most emotionally charged tracks.
“Bright Cage” explores the feeling of being trapped inside a role that slowly becomes unbearable. What begins as an ordinary day gradually descends into frustration, anger and inner conflict, capturing the emotional tension between outward expectations and personal liberation.
The track reflects Voodoo Queen’s signature blend of vintage Fuzz Rock, Desert Rock and modern Stoner influences, paired with deeply introspective songwriting. It perfectly embodies the musical identity developed throughout “Violet Crown” — a debut album built around powerful riffs, hypnotic grooves and an immersive atmosphere that has already earned widespread recognition across the European Heavy Rock scene.

Formed in La Rochelle, France, in 2022, Voodoo Queen is a four-piece Fuzz Blues Rock band whose sound bridges the warmth of 70s Rock with the power of modern Heavy and Stoner Rock. Built around expressive female vocals, massive riffs and introspective songwriting, the band draws inspiration from artists such as Blue Pills, Rival Sons, Kyuss, and Planet Of Zeus, crafting a sound that is both raw and immersive.
Their debut album, “Violet Crown,” was recorded at La Sirène, mixed by Michel Toledo and mastered by La Villa. Since its release, the album has received widespread recognition from the specialist press, entered the Doom Charts Top 25 worldwide and earned airplay on RTL2’s Pop Rock Station, where Francis Zégut described the band’s music as “stoner desert rock washed by the Atlantic Ocean.”
