French composer and guitarist Gabriel Keller is proud to unveil his very first live album, “Gabriel Keller And Friends – Live @ La Rotonde,” a powerful and poetic showcase of his emotionally rich sound.
Captured on 29 June 2024 at La Rotonde in Villeurbanne (69)—where Gabriel and his band opened for the renowned French progressive rock group Lazuli—this live performance marked a pivotal moment in his artistic journey. It celebrated the release of his second studio album, “Hope Despite Everything” (2024), and brought to life his distinctive blend of Progressive Rock, Metal, Classical Music, and Chanson.
More than just a concert recording, “Live @ La Rotonde” is a raw, intimate portrait of an artist and his community—friends and musicians united by passion and trust. The album features standout tracks from “Hope Despite Everything” and “Clair Obscur” (2022), alongside newly reimagined pieces from Gabriel’s earlier project, Hegoa—all lovingly rearranged and performed by the Gabriel Keller And Friends ensemble.
“I’m proud to present my first live performance,” says Gabriel. “Proud to share my music with a rawer, more primal energy, brought to life by an incredible group of friends—each more amazing than the last.”
With its chiaroscuro of sound—balancing light and shadow, strength and fragility—Gabriel Keller And Friends – Live @ La Rotonde is both the closing chapter of a creative cycle and the beginning of a new musical adventure.
