German doom metal band Mirror Of Deception have unveiled official music video for the single “Meander” taken from their sixth full-length album, “Transience,” out on March 27, 2026 via Estuarial Records.

“Meander” was inspired by a documentary about an archeological site in Northern Germany: the battlefield of the Tollense valley (link here). It dates back to approximately 1250 BC, the Bronze Age. Remains of hundreds of indivduals have been discovered so far and up to or more than 1000 may still be buried in the ground. It has been called the first battle of Europe. It was hidden and forgotten about for millennia until it was re-discovered in 1996.
It is proof and testament that humans were always good at harming and killing each other. And that even old and long forgotten wounds and ancient secrets will eventually come back to light.
“Transience” was recorded at Darkland City Studio between 2024 and 2026. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Michelle Darkness (End Of Green).
