Riffstone, the UK Progressive Rock collaboration of Dave Allen (Spirergy) and Colin Powell (AMultitude of One, Nova Cascade), are pleased to announce the release of their fifth album, “Zodiac,” on October 02, 2026.
Following the historical drama of “Richard III,” the Atmospheric exploration of “Sanctuary Sky,” the mythology and folklore of “Mythical Creatures” and the worldwide adventures of “Great Journeys,” Riffstone‘s latest album turns its attention to the heavens.
“Zodiac” takes the listener on a musical journey through thetwelve signs of the “Zodiac,” with eachtrack exploring the symbolism, mythology and characteristics traditionally associated with its sign.
From the fiery energy of “Ariesto” the dreamlike waters of “Pisces,” the album moves through twelve contrasting musical landscapes while retaining the musical identity that has become characteristic of Riffstone: Melodic Progressive Rock, Atmospheric keyboards, guitars, dynamic arrangements and narrative songwriting.
The album opens withAries, thefirst sign of the “Zodiac,” before travelling through Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius, finally arriving at Piscesto complete the celestial cycle.
Each composition approaches its subject from a different musical perspective, allowing the twelvesigns to provide not only the inspiration but also the structure for the album.
The result is an album of contrasting moods and musical landscapes, united by a single overarching concept.
“Zodiac” will be released on CD and Digital Download. The CD edition includes a professionally pressed CD and illustrated lyric booklet, while thedigital edition includes ahigh-quality audio download and PDF lyric booklet.
