Tonzonen states: “There is also something new from GIANT HAZE. The song YARD OF OBLIVION from the album COSMIC MOTHER has been immortalised as a video. The album is still available on CD/LP in our webshop.“
Riffs like a wall of desert sand. Sweat and tears on your face. The relentless groove of the 90s, purple flashing lights and lots and lots of smoke.
The sound is based on the energetic and powerful vibe of early Stoner Rock — paired with catchy melodies, the straightforward song structures of grunge, and an uncompromising contemporary heaviness. With their versatile vocals, Giant Haze succeed in giving their songs emotional depth — a voice that accompanies the listener on their journey into the light or the dark. Feed your head… and body! — Just think of a beloved foundling from the commune of Fu Manchu, Kyuss and the Misfits and you’ll have a rough idea of where the journey is heading.
In the late summer of 2024, the debut album “Cosmic Mother” was recorded in the band’s own studio and then mixed and mastered by Ulf Nagel. Drums and bass were recorded live in one day to capture the right groove. The production was done very old-school without amp modeling, drum triggers or other bells and whistles. It was simply mic’d and recorded with great care and attention to detail.
The band also annoounced a tour dates for March 2026:
