“Neri Relitti” (Black Wrecks), Karma‘s new unreleased single, is now available in all digital stores. The track marks the return of the Italian Rock band after their last masterpiece “Astronotus” (1996), a seminal album for Italian Alternative Rock in the 1990s.

The date is not random because it is a few hours before World Earth Day. It is a symbolic date for the band whose songs “Il Cielo,” “La terra,” and “Amazzonia” have been capturing the spirituality of a world already to be preserved since the 1990s.
The song, supported by an impactful videclip (soon to be released), tells of an Odyssean journey, rediscovering oneself, peacefully accepting one’s imperfections, detaching oneself completely from the din of everyday life. “Neri Relitti speaks of the victory of the defeated who do not resign themselves, of those who rely on the waves knowing that they may not arrive, of those who, throwing themselves into the belly of the world, touching the bottom, have been able to rise again, freeing themselves from their own wreckage” – says David Moretti, frontman, author and creative mind of the group.
So nearly three decades later, the Milan-based Rock band Karma finally arrives to release its highly anticipated third album titled “K3” and scheduled for release on Oct. 27, 2023 with an accompanying tour. To anticipate it, three more singles extracted from the album will be released. The album, recorded between the United States and Italy and mixed at Mauro Pagani’s Officine Meccaniche, will be released in CD, MC, double black LP and double colored (marbled/fumee) collector’s versions.

It will be released by the Vrec Music Label, already alongside such historic names of Italian Rock as Mistonocivo, Giulio Casale (Estra), Andrea Chimenti (Moda), Max Zanotti (Deasonika) and many others. Distribution will be entrusted to Audioglobe (for physical) and Believe Digital (for digital). Particular attention will be paid to the graphic design of the project curated by Moretti himself with photographic inserts and fine stylistic solutions.
Karma’s lineup is the original one led by frontman David Moretti on vocals and guitars (as well as piano and programming), Andrea Viti on bass (formerly in Afterhours and also alongside Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan), Diego Besozzi on drums, Alessandro Pacho Rossi on percussion and Andrea Bacchini on guitars.
Karma was one of the landmark bands in the Italian Alternative Rock scene of the 1990s. Born in 1991 in Milan, the particularity that makes them unique is the mix of electric and acoustic components and references to the contemporary scene coming from Seattle, but always with the heart turned to the rock and psychedelia of the 1970s. They made their debut in 1994 with the self-titled album (Ritmi Urbani). Two singles, “La Terra” and “Il Cielo,” are extracted from the album. The album closes the year among the best-selling debuts in Italian indie. The second work, “Astronotus,” is released in 1996 following intense live activity. It is the album that most reflects Karma‘s sound. Recorded almost entirely live, it represents the maturation of a band that was able to free itself from the constraint of “genre.” The two singles taken from the album are “Atoms” and “E.X.P.” Many collaborations: Afterhours (with whom bassist Andrea Viti will play for over a lustre), Ritmo Tribale, La Crus, Casino Royale, and many others. On October 27, 2023, after years of waiting, comes “K3,” the highly anticipated third work.
