Oakland, California based Gothic Progressive/Art Rock solo project JoJo Razor has unveiled the official video for the single “Red Garden” taken from his new album, “Eye Of The Clarion,” out on January 23, 2026 via Melodic Revolution Records.

The artist states: “Songs from ‘Eye of the Clarion‘ began in 2015 and came out of my attendance at Immersion Composition Society, Oakland, CA, an underground network of composers, where members spend a day writing as much music as possible (goal is 20 songs). After writing, they gather at a members house for a listening party. At my very first attendance and because Michael Mellander said, ‘virgins go first,’ Imee Ah Oo was the first song to be played that night. I sat bitting my nails in disbelief that this unfamiliar song that I was hearing, was created just hours ago. It was like I was hearing it for the first time along with everybody else. After the song finished there was a lot of joy as they all laughed at me for creating a fully produced and mixed song with lyrics and harmonies. Most do snippets, they said, and how many more of these did I have? I wrote 3 fully produced songs that day in which 2 are on the cd.
When I was young I was always searching for music I could get lost in, which I eventually found in the very early progressive rock bands. It was their melancholy melodies that really sent me over the edge into another world. Their lyrical hymns, poetry and stories eventually became my bible for living. Their music was a touchstone for how I wanted to write music, not as entertainment but as an emotional visual journey into another world through music. Eye of the Clarion is that otherworld where melancholy is delicious, and missed moments can never be returned. Where the true lover is within and passion is a reflection of one’s lack. It is about the angst of being left, and the danger of speaking one’s truth. How shock is necessary to awaken one to speak out, even when it bloodies the soul. And mostly it is about the masks we wear to hide the ancestral pain that we carry which is buried deep under the layers of cult-ture. Eye of the Clarion was birthed from my fear of the internal pupil of darkness where I witnessed the dot of the imagination hide and moved through the colorful folds of the iris. It’s projection began as one continuous stream of flickering light and then expanded into trillions of floating forms of thought. My thinking touched it and suddenly a movie began to play. I sensed a voice deep inside asking for expression… for my expression. I opened my mouth… like a Clarion, and a song began.“
