Lid was a project formed in the latter half of the 1990’s by Daniel Cavanagh (Anathema) and legendary US vocalist Eric Wagner (Trouble). Joining the two were Timothy and Tommy Reeves on bass and drums respectively.
The band’s sole album “In The Mushroom“ (1987) combined the Harder Rocking and Melodic traits of both artists with an element of Psychedelia.
Stoner Rock collides with a notable Beatles influence and the album includes a cover of the Beatles classic “Don’t Let Me Down” (alongside a version of The Monkees’ “Randy Scouse Git“).
A dynamic ride full of hooks, accomplished songwriting and an injection of Wagner’s poetic depth.
