2023 is going to be an important year when it comes to new faces joining our family… We have already announced Ajeeb (from Canary Islands), Santo Rostro (from Andalusia), Bismut (from The Netherlands) and Les Nadie (from Argentina). And here we are once again to let you know about some new guys: Laverge.
Our relationship with this band is not completely new as they took part in our crazy compilation boxset “Grados. Minutos. Segundos.” sharing a 7″ with hard-rockers Saturna. However, a while ago when they asked us if we wanted to collaborate with Carcosa Records to put out their new album “Who is there to beat the ego?” we couldn’t say anything but “hell yeah,” and here we are, welcoming Laverge to our family.
Their second LP is the result of three different recording phases taking place between 2019 and 2022, with changes in the line-up and a global pandemic included. Despite everything, Laverge is now back with 8 tracks where Alt Rock, Stoner, Post-Hardcore and even Post-Punk get perfectly mixed. Fans of Bala, Viva Belgrado, Belako, Toundra, Royal Blood and the latest Queens Of The Stone Age should keep an eye on these 4 guys.
“Who is there to beat the ego?” will be out in April 2023 via Carcosa Records, Spinda Records and Quebranta Records, although 3 out of its 8 tracks have already been released in the past, such as “Showdown,” “Sophisticated” and “Y.D.H.A.S.“
