Specifically, that of Progressive Rock consolidated as a synthesis of various areas – from Classical to Folk – and as an evolved Rock form that became canon. The Post-Progressive imagined by Luminol starts from that historical datum and tries to explore new environments, to beat virgin territories. A collection of ten tracks summarising the last two years of activity, a compilation representative of a heterogeneous and multifaceted catalogue under the banner of Contemporary Rock. From the Folk Prog of a historic group like Notturno Concertante to the new art-fusion trends of Ujig with Fabrizio Bosso, from the international Neo Prog of Davide Ronfetto with Colin Edwin to the conceptual Art Rock of Opsis, from the Heavy Prog of Post Generation to the Math Rock of 3ONVEGA. And as for foreign offerings, the anthology is completed with the edgy Heavyness of Denmark’s VÆVER, with the Finnish one-two punch of Alt-Metal with Joint Depression and Alt-Prog with Spiritraiser, and with the metal-prog of Germany’s NOLA.
