The debut solo single by Long Earth vocalist Martin Haggarty is released on November 17, 2023 in aid of War Child, accompanied by a poignant video by award-winning filmmaker Ross Eaglesham.
War Child UK is a charity supporting children in conflict zones throughout the world.

“Dust and Stone” is the first release under Martin‘s own name, and almost certainly the most important song he has been involved in.
Written & produced by Martin Haggarty, vocalist & songwriter with progressive rock bands Long Earth and Field of Vision, first composed this song during the conflict in Syria a few years ago after seeing a shocking news report on the TV. Initially playing all the instruments himself, the song was shelved until the conflict in Ukraine became the catalyst for a new interpretation in 2022. Over the last year, Martin has invited some musician friends to add their considerable talents to the recording, and has decided to release the song as a charity fundraiser for War Child UK, who aim to improve the lives of innocent children caught up in war zones throughout the world.
