Hirkum is a Heavy Psych Metal band from Mexico City.
2021 saw the release of their first two singles: “Screaming Skull” and “Die Trying,” and the EP “Одинокий волк” was also released.
On September 15, 2023, their debut album “Hirkum” was independently released digitally.
In 2024, the Mexican label Loud Slow And Distorted Riffs released Hirkum’s debut album in physical CD format. In 2024, their first live session “Live Sesh” was also released online.
Hirkum has a characteristic Heavy Psych/Doom-Sludge sound strongly influenced by 90’s Metal, Psychedelia and Black Sabbath. Their songs usually talk about fantasy and human emotions.
Hirkum consists of Ryan “Volkh” Vilchis as guitarist and vocalist, Daniel Archundia as drummer and Aldo Zanela as bassist. All production and engineering of the project are handled by the band.
Since their first releases in 2021, Hirkum has performed on multiple occasions in Mexico City and other states of Mexico, sharing the stage with prominent bands. The general public has had a great reaction to their intense shows.
