Mother’s Cake published the entire live performance at Rockpalast 2021 on YouTube, watch it through the player below:
the band comments: “Our Rockpalast session is finally online, its still a shitty time for doing live and thanks for your support the whole year and grab your goody!“
Rolling Stone magazine gave the Psych Rock trio adjectives such as “mind-expanding, colorful and trippy” – which limits the range of associations. However, Mother’s Cake are also musically grounded. In short: their so-called “cyber radio” enables them to bring many influences under one roof. It’s quite rough, dynamic and always surprising.
You save yourself from being trapped in the vintage retro ghetto. Snapshots and jams arising spontaneous ideas coalesce with cerebral source material – a bit of megalomania must not be missing here and there, so Mother’s Cake with her megalomaniac “Live at Pompeji” tribute on the Bergisl ski jump achieved an audiovisual coup that turned out to be enjoyed viral popularity in relevant circles.
Hundreds of concerts between Manchester, Melbourne and Mumbai and performances with Wolfmother, Iggy & The Stooges, Alice In Chains or LimpBizkit have hardened the live qualities of the Austrian Progressive Rocker.
