Italian Experimental Post-Rock trio Movion published the official video for the single “Cronk” taken from their new album “Vertice” out on January 07, 2025 via Luminol Records. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:

Movion is an instrumental trio born in 2012 in Turin from the meeting of Antonio, Alessandro and Nicolò. The artistic commitment of the project aims at the combination and synergy between synthetic atmospheres and acoustic soundscapes, through a sonic narrative strongly guided by emotion and Psychedelia. Their sound is characterized by the juxtaposition of elements typical of Post-Rock with those of Experimental Electronica. The delicate melodies and dreamy atmospheres that often introduce the compositions gradually intensify until they reach powerful and distorted sound explosions, creating soundscapes rich in dynamics.

In 2018, the band brought forth “Blank, ” their second studio album: The nine tracks of the album revolve around a bold desire: to achieve a form of coexistence and real balance between electro-acoustic instrumental loops typical of Post-Rock and Electronic Sounds derived from techno IDM and synthwave, surpassing the conventions of Instrumental Rock through a personal point of view. The journey of sonic exploration was developed with the aim of translating musically the images and visual scenarios that inspired the work: the theme of the study and analysis of perception is continually revisited in the album through samples of the voices of David Cronenberg and Stan Brakhage.

The band is out now with “Vertice,” a work that represents the culmination of a process that lasted several years, during which the band committed to developing and evolving the sounds of the previous album, strengthening the duality between instrumental and electronic, between technical rationality and emotional expressions. In “Vertice” Movion also find audio excerpts of George Orwell, John Berger and John Cage, referencing themes ranging from hypotheses about the fate of society in a near-future dystopian and emotionless world, to the consequences of technological development and its impact on human relationships, to the aesthetics and expressiveness of pure noise and moving images, meditatively collected in a sonic painting that makes the band’s work more relevant than ever!
