[News] Odd Circus published the video for the track “Vanadek” from “Mantha EP”

Improvisational Avant Rock trio Odd Circus is pleased to unveil their brand new video for “Venadek.” The track comes by way of the band’s mind-bending “Mantha EP” available on deluxe blue vinyl via UK-based Airbag Records. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:

Odd Circus navigates a boundary-less sonic landscape that embraces the unknown and welcomes the bizarre. The result is an Experimental style of Psychedelic Art-Rock that weaves its way into Garage, Fusion, Krautrock, No Wave, Post-Rock, Noise, Hard Psych, and Sci-Fi Prog. Compiled from free improvisations performed live and originally released independently last spring, “Mantha” was recorded by the band, mixed by Crews Carter and Odd Circus, and mastered by Joseph Carra at Crystal Mastering (Melbourne, Australia) with cover art by Katharina Maisenbacher.

Notes the band of “Venadek”: “Though we started ‘Venadek’ with the idea of scoring a high-speed car chase, the vibe ended up veering closer to a dance track. And with our vinyl dropping today, we’re in the mood for dancing.”

Adds Airbag Records of the deluxe release: “When we first heard the wild, experimental sound of ODD CIRCUS, we knew we had to find a way of working with them. We couldn’t be more pleased that ODD CIRCUS let us into their avant-rock vortex and we’re now releasing the phenomenal Mantha (Deluxe) on vinyl for the first time ever! We hope that anyone who buys the record will get just as much of a thrill spending time in this maelstrom of sci-fi psych as we do.”

The deluxe vinyl edition of Mantha is limited to 250 copies. Find ordering options at here: https://airbagrecords.bandcamp.com/merch/odd-circus-mantha-deluxe-limited-edition-blue-vinyl-lp

After operating underground for several years, Odd Circus — saxophonist Graham Robertson, drummer Partin Whitaker, and bassist/sound engineer Crews Carter — debuted their first release, “Lunatic Children” in 2019, and soon amassed a cult following on Instagram. The band re-entered the studio in July 2020 and kicked off the first of a series of releases from these sessions in April 2021 with “Mantha” — a bold six-track EP imagining aural visitations from supernatural creatures — followed in June by “Arch Nova” — a post-apocalyptic-themed release mixing Heavy improvisation with more expansive Psychedelia.
