“Synchro Anarchy,“ the new Voivod album, is now available. To celebrate the occasion, the Canadian Progressive Metal band is pleased to present the video for their latest single “Sleeves Off,” created by Felipe Belalcazar/Mental Pictures. Watch the video through the YouTube player below:
The comment of the singer and lyricist Denis “Snake” Bélanger about the single and the release of the new album: “Here is a cool clip from our friend Felipe Belalcazar. It’s a mixture of animation and live footage. The animation in the clip goes back in time, perhaps in reference to the past when I had to make big decisions as a teenager. Some were good, some were bad, but one thing is for sure, I didn’t want to be cast in a mold and adjust to the conformity of the world. I wanted to be myself, show everyone who I was, do things by myself and be creative. And when I met the guys I found the place where I wanted to be. Live footage simply shows that I was right, as we are still on track after all this time. Enjoy! Here we are, folks. I am so proud to present this album to you, a very unique and distinctive album. It was done with all the passion we have for music in these particular circumstances. Written, recorded and delivered, and not necessarily in that order, we managed to do everything in a few months. “Synchro Anarchy” was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio in Québec, Canada and later mastered by Maor Appelbaum by Maor Appelbaum Mastering in California, USA and produced by Voivod. The album cover was once again made by Michel “Away” Langevin.
