Swedish Progressive Metal project Pale Epiphany published the official teaser for their self-titled debut album, out on February 25, 2025. Stream the teaser through the YouTube player below:
The band states: “We are beyond excited to announce the release of our self-titled debut album, PALE EPIPHANY, coming on February 28th! This album has been nearly 10 years in the making, and the day has finally come for it to see the light of day.“
Formed in 2015 as a side project by Luca Delle Fave (guitarist of Seventh Dimension), Pale Epiphany brings together some of Sweden’s Progressive Metal talent. Initially joined by Erik Arkö (Structural Disorder, Six Feet Deeper) and Kalle Björk (Structural Disorder, Scarefield), the band set out to craft a unique sound inspired by heavyweights like Porcupine Tree and Pain of Salvation.
The goal was clear: to deliver Progressive Metal with a streamlined approach-shorter, punchier songs that packed an emotional and musical punch without overstaying their welcome. The result was an ambitious collection of 11 tracks intended for a self-titled debut album. However, the demands of the members’ main projects sidelined Pale Epiphany, leaving the album unfinished for several years.
Now, nearly a decade later, Pale Epiphany has been reignited, breathing new life into the project and setting sights on its long-awaited release. With Erik Arkö unable to rejoin, the band welcomed the formidable Linus Abrahamson (Andromeda, Edge of a Circle) on bass.
The album’s lyrical themes delve into the raw emotions of anger and frustration, exploring the inner turmoil of a broken individual consumed by bitterness and disillusionment with society. The result is a powerful collection of songs that are as cathartic as they are compelling.
