Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and sonic visionary Pedro Salvador has just released his brand new self-titled album, and the full stream is now officially available on YouTube. Hailing from Maceió, Brazil, Salvador is one of the most prolific and uncompromising voices in the South American Psychedelic and Progressive underground — and this new record proves once again why.
The full stream is now live on YouTube — press play below and let it run:
“Pedro Salvador” dropped on March 19, 2026, and it’s an ambitious, sprawling work of 18 tracks that refuses to be confined by genre. Drawing from Tropicália, Cosmic Jazz, Progressive Rock, Psychedelic Rock, and Avant-Garde Experimentation, the album weaves social and political commentary into a dense, texturally rich sonic tapestry rooted in the Brazilian reality — from the favelas to the colonial ruins, from spiritual ecstasy to systemic violence.
Salvador handled virtually everything himself — guitar, bass, drums, organ, electronics, VST instruments, flute, and percussion — while gathering a constellation of vocalists and collaborators to flesh out the album’s dramatic, multi-voiced narrative. Among them: Mary Alves, Arielly Oliveira, Toninho ZS, Ana Gal, Bárbara Castelões, Nego Pedro, and several others, each lending their voice to specific chapters of this deeply personal and politically charged work. Additional contributions come from Chau do Pife on pife flute, Everaldo Borges on sax, and Dinho Zampier on electric piano, among others. The album was recorded by Salvador at his own studios Pedrada II and Pedrada III, with mastering by Francisco Patetucci and striking artwork by Aloísio Correia.
The tracklist reads like a prose poem of resistance: Desova, Cangaço, the three-part Gênese e Destruição, Quilombo de Cimento, O Êxtase de Santa Teresa, Nem Eiral nem Beiral — each title a door into a different corner of a fractured, vital, deeply human world. This is the kind of record that demands patience and rewards it tenfold.
