[News] Sabaton published the live version of “The attack of the dead men”

Sabaton continue their global assault in support of their latest studio album “The Great War” with a new live version of the song “The Attack Of The Dead Men” which sees the participation of Radio Tapok. The song was recorded during the recent concert in Moscow and is available in streaming and digital: https://ffm.to/theattack

RADIO TAPOK is a Russian artist who has become famous for his Russian covers of famous rock and metal songs. It has a huge following in Russian-speaking countries with millions of fans on various social networks.

RADIO TAPOK had previously published his version of ‘The Attack Of The Dead Men’ with the text translated into Russian. In collaboration with SABATON, its cover was released a few days before the band’s official song was available.

During the recent SABATON concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg, RADIO TAPOK appeared unexpectedly on stage, playing the song with the band. This unique performance was recorded in Moscow and mixed by Jonas Kjellgren, who had already dealt with the mix of “The Great War”.

SABATON bassist Pär Sundström comments: “It is a special honor for us to collaborate with RADIO TAPOK. He is a very talented artist and his cover of ‘The Attack Of The Dead Men’ was received so well that we didn’t think twice before inviting him on stage in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The performance was so good that we could not help but publish this collaboration! “.

The song tells the story of the fortress of Osowiec and of a battle during the First World War in which the forces of imperial Germany used chlorine gas against the Russian defenders who had no protection against the gas and had to wrap wet clothes around the face , in desperation. They were not expected to survive and therefore their counterattack was so surprising and successful. Wrapped in a bloody cloth and coughing blood, the legend of the attack of the dead men was born and born.

On July 10th Nuclear Blast will release an exclusive pre-orderable 12 ”vinyl in the following formats:

SABATON’s latest album “The Great War” was released in 2019 and entered at no. 1 in various countries including Germany, Switzerland and Sweden. The album has been critically and critically acclaimed and contains numerous colossal singles such as ‘Great War’, ’82nd All The Way’, ‘The Red Baron’ and ‘Fields of Verdun’.

A few weeks ago SABATON had to postpone some concerts of their big tour in Russia and Belarus due to Covid-19. Finally the new dates have been set.

“Out of a total of eighteen concerts we managed to make nine before the damned virus forced us to delete the rest. Since then we have been working day and night to be able to return to Russia and Belarus and finish what we started. The tour was fantastic until we had to stop it, so we can’t wait to go back, “comments Pär Sundström.
