Canadian multi-instrumentalist Sandro Cuzzetto published the title-track of the new EP “Sign Of The Times” out on February 11, 2022. Stream the single through the YouTube player below:
The latest four song EP from Canadian artists Sandro Cuzzetto has been called “inimitably eccentric progressive psych-rock,” but the overall style can be hard to define. Influences from Progressive and Classic Rock are fused with “dirty disco grooves, polyphonic scores, indie psych melodies, uplifting Enya vibes” (Amelia Vandergast) and others, creating what some have called “a prominent distinctive style… an example of how music can take you to other worlds” (Al Massey). However you want to describe it, Sandro’s music is both complex, changing, and familiar all at the same time. Tracks on this EP revolve around the state of our world now, exploring themes of protests and social media in the title track “Sign of the Times,” relationships in the track “Minor Impact,” and civil unrest in the song “Civil.” As well, true to form, the final track “Time,” is a Heavy Progressive instrumental reminiscent of Dream Theater sprinkled with influences of Rush, Porcupine Tree, and even Iron Maiden. This is an EP that will take many spins to completely digest.
Sandro says: “I am happy to announce that my latest release (a four song EP entitled Sign of the Times) is now available on all streaming sites (Apple, Spotify, YouTube, etc.).
As you all know, we live in unprecedented times, and this project focuses on that. There are many styles in this project, but the “pocket” is definitely the progressive pop/rock genre. Take a listen and drop me a note to let me know what you think!“
