[News] Sheraff announces their debut EP “Concrete By The Ocean” for October 18, 2024

Brest, France based Heavy Psych/Stoner/Doom band Sheraff has announced their debut EP, “Concrete By The Ocean,” which will be released on October 18, 2024.

In the meantime you can watch a live performance video for “Struggle To Fade” through the YouTube player below:

Doomed stoner from Brittany.

Three tracks where Stoner Rock and Doom Metal converge, a tormented snapshot of daily life between concrete and ocean. In an era fraught with uncertainties and anxieties: the Frenchmen answer with noise and fury. Sheraff was born in Brest, France. It’s a sinister, angular urban isolate, a gray mass lashed by wind and rain. The melancholy that often occupies this environment is beaten to a pulp by the richness of its alternative scenes, whose boards the band scours. Sheraff emulates these storms (elemental and inner), as pious riff cultists in the straight line of Stoner/Doom/Heavy Psych cultures.

This first EP, entitled “Concrete By The Ocean,” was born of this ambition. Lyrics wise, the band evokes the joys and torments of addiction (“Soft Madness“). The insolent solitude of wilful insomnia (“Struggle To Fade“) and wandering and rejection in the doomy, dystopian setting of the eponymous “Concrete By The Ocean.”

Recorded at TAF Panoramix Studio and mixed at Slab Sound Studio, this opus is a sample of three years of creative work and rehearsals. It testifies to Sheraff’s ambition to establish itself in the fast-moving, demanding and expanding Stoner/Doom scene.

Lineup:
