[News] Solstice publish the official video for the track “Stand Up” from the new album “Sia”

Official Press Release (Solstice):

The first thing I want to tell you about is the new video for “Stand Up” from the “Sia” album which premieres at 7.30 pm this Wednesday May 19, 2021. Watch the official video below:

The band says: “We’re really hoping this will be our last ‘lockdown’ video and as such wanted to try something a bit special. So I got in touch with our original sound engineer, Brian King, who’s now had a long career in post-production for film, TV and music videos in every genre from Kylie Minogue to Pink Floyd. Anyway, I sent the Sia album artwork to Brian and a couple of days later he’d taken us out of our rooms and into the ‘Garden Of Sia’…. love it! If you use social media, sharing these releases really helps to get the music out there so, if you’re able, many thanks!

Part of the original idea for the video was to introduce our three new singers Johanna Stroud, Olivia Armon and Megan Knightsbridge. Believe me when I tell you, these guys are brilliant. We’ve only been able to rehearse online so far but even under those circumstances it’s easy to see how good they are and how much they’ll bring to the live sound… so excited for face to face rehearsals starting June 1st!

In fact, you’ll be able to see how that goes… Mark Jepson, who directed the “A New Day” video, is back with cinematographer, James Westlake, to document the first time we’ll be able to come together with Jess and the singers and rehearse for the 2021 shows. Martin Kielty will also be interviewing the current lineup so hopefully the whole thing will make a cool little documentary.

Of course we can’t wait to get out live, particularly as it really does feel like the band’s taken a step up with the new album and line up. I do hope you’ll be able to join us along the way.
