August 9 will introduce “Wanderer,” the driving second single from Star Beast’s debut self-titled album arriving this September 13. The track is enriched with visual support from a vintage-style music video packed with unease and intrigue as the protagonist follows the siren song of a captivating woman into inexplicable perils.
The band comments that they themed the songwriting around “a nun wandering a post-apocalyptic wasteland healing the sick,” which is expressed in both the lyrical content and the wayfaring groove of the arrangement. The single’s acoustic moments lead into barrages of power riffs, creating a dynamic listening experience that rises and falls in all the right places.
