Colorado Springs, Colorado based Stoner Rock band Doctor Nez have unveiled official lyric video for new single “Find Familiar” taken from their upcoming EP, “Nothing Short Of Silver,” set for release on October 01, 2026.

The newest single from Colorado Stoner Rock entity Doctor Nez is now streaming. “Find Familiar” marks the second song off the band’s upcoming EP, “Nothing Short Of Silver.”
“‘Find Familiar’ is basically Doctor Nez’s ‘Every Breath You Take’, but for warlocks,” comments Doctor Nez. “Certainly the love will one day be requited. Certainly this obsession isn’t unhealthy. Should anything go sideways or we lose connection, I’ll just start up the ritual again. It’ll all be fine in the end – I’ll make sure of it.”

Masterminded by Desert Rock multi-instrumentalist Doctor Nez, “Nothing Short Of Silver” follows previous releases with six new tracks of hook-laden, Doom-infused Heavy Rock that blissfully brushes against the edge of Psychedelia.
“Nothing Short Of Silver,” is the first installment in a Dark Fantasy journey of an individual in the throes of a curse, changing the very nature of their soul. Listeners will experience the fear of change, the shame of bloodshed, the desperation of unrequited love, a lust for power, and a determination to spread misery unto the world. Under the full moon, the curse changes everything…no matter how hard you try to resist.
“‘Nothing Short Of Silver’ is the marriage of aggressive rock and absolute Dungeons & Dragons level nerdism,” comments Doctor Nez. “I never thought I’d use the term ‘hit points’ in a song, but here we are. You’re definitely rolling a Natural 20 if you choose this record.”

From paranoia to substance dependence, loneliness to uncertainty, crippling guilt to the death of ambition, Doctor Nez retells haunting stories from firsthand and secondhand accounts, all wrapped up in a package of gritty, overdriven guitar tones and unapologetically disheveled vocals. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Doctor Nez is currently based in the Stoner Doom haven of Colorado.
