Dave Cousins sings songs and tells stories in a one-off event in aid of “Commonwealth Medical Trust” and “SafeHands.”

Supported by Cherry Red Records.

Dave Cousins, lead singer and songwriter of the legendary Strawbs, returns to the stage for an evening of songs and stories relating to growing up and living in Chiswick. His earliest memories are of Beverley Road Infants School and going to Saturday Morning Pictures as an ABC Minor. In the 1970s, Dave Cousins returned to live in Chiswick and rehearsed with Strawbs at the Mawson Arms before recording several of the band’s classic albums. Dave Cousins will talk about visiting his friend and hero, Lonnie Donegan, at his house on Chiswick Mall. Strawbs 30th Anniversary Concert was held in the grounds of Chiswick House in 1998.

Dave Cousins is donating all proceeds from the event to the Commonwealth Medical Trust, (Commat), of which he is a trustee, to support its joint project with SafeHands to provide water tanks to help protect the health of women and children in remote parts of the African continent.

Doors 19.00. Start 19.30.
