[News] Toehider announce 12 years of 12in12 re-release with artist commentary

Melbourne’s Toehider have announced that their acclaimed 12in12 EP series will be re-released on CD and digital formats this year, to celebrate 12 Years of “12in12.”

The First Six” and “The Last Six” will be available as 2xCD sets featuring all 12 EPs released by Toehider between 2008-2009, whilst each individual EP will be re-released digitally with full artist commentary on every single track by Mike Mills.

After releasing their debut EP back in 2008, Toehider caught the world’s attention by releasing an impressive 12 EPs in 12 months, covering everything from Up-Beat Pop & Heavy Progressive Metal, to children’s audiobooks & chilled out Folk, each complete with unique artwork and a 2-page comic by Brisbane illustrator Andrew Saltmarsh.

The series saw the debut of instant classics, such as the “Toe Hider” signature song, triple j radio airplay for the Queen-esque “I Must Say Yes,” fan favourites “Malcolm Dust ‘Em” & “Lie Still,” live favourites “Lay Down Mara” & “Jesuitmont” as well as the epic 20minute finale “Done and Dusted.” The video for “But Mostly Metal” from the “Metaltarsus EP” also saw acclaim for its pun-filled artistry as well as Mike Mills world-beating Manowar-shipping tribute to Classic Metal.
