After two years of hard work, the album “Greenland Awakening” by Tom Rudy Webb is finally being released. Originally inspired by Eskimo Deconstructed by The Residents, the theme of Greenland has now, unintentionally, taken on a very current and urgent meaning. The album tells the story of the melting polar ice caps due to climate change, the revealing of Greenland’s icy surfaces, and how the greedy powers of the world scramble for its natural resources. Ultimately, they are washed away along with their billions, and Greenland awakens as a flourishing place of new beginnings for humanity.
The concept album was performed, recorded, arranged, and produced by Tom Rudy Webb in St. Wendel / Oberlinxweiler in the Saarland region of Germany. The album will be available on all streaming platforms starting April 14, 2025.
