Chilean Avant-Prog/Fusion group Chercán has officially released “Pareidolia,” the lead single from their upcoming second studio album. Released on September 04, 2026, the track represents the band’s first new music since releasing their self-titled debut LP in March 2025.
“Pareidolia” is available now for streaming and purchase on digital platforms.

Formed in 2019 in Valdivia, Chile, Chercán crafts a distinct brand of Progressive and Fusion Rock. Through their lyrics, the band explores personal experiences, their relationship with nature and the environment, and the challenges of contemporary society.
The recording of “Pareidolia” spanned multiple locations in southern Chile. The core instrumentation—drums, electric guitars, bass, saxophone, and vocals—was recorded by Máximo Torres at Estudio Monteranco in Futrono. Additional percussion and synthesizer tracks were recorded by Rodrigo González Mera at Estudio “El Pequén” in Valdivia.
The track was mixed by Jorge Fortune at Telúrica Estudio in Coyhaique and mastered by Carlos Barros at Isla Negra Producciones in Santiago. The cover artwork was created by Carlos Alvear.
“Pareidolia” showcases a collaborative creative process, with all five band members sharing compositional credits.
