WDR Rockpalast official YouTube channel published the full performance by Heavy Rockers Motorjesus recorded live at “Rock Hard Festival 2023.” Watch the video through through the YouTube player below:
Motorjesus have been playing a combination of Metal and dirty Rock’n’Roll since 1992, which they call “High Octane” themselves. The band from Mönchengladbach has already shared the stage with bands like Motörhead, Anthrax or Prong, and they are also welcome guests at festivals like Summer Breeze or Rock Hard.
Completely free of airs and graces, the Gladbach band spreads their penchant for broad-legged Rock’n’Roll and 70s muscle cars, and with some success – their album “Hellbreaker” entered the German album charts at number 20 in 2021. Their sound has become more compact over the years, faster, more explosive, they now manage without ballads.
Between borrowings from traditional 80s Metal, in which their affection for Judas Priest or Iron Maiden comes to the fore, and mangy snot Rock with a Punk attitude, they still leave room for Anthemic Hard Rock, Classic Rock or Stoner. All fists go up. Their qualities as songwriters are easily recognised by the fact that many of their songs can be sung, no, sung along – even if you have never heard them before. Especially live, Motorjesus are loud and raunchy, fierce and to the point.
