We have the pleasure of announcing the release of Yomi Ship‘s brand-new animated music video for “The Izoku” ahead of a national tour. From the imaginative visual interpretation of the track by Arturo Baston (Barcelona), “The Izoku” draws you into the world of the menacing shadow monsters as they emerge to wreak havoc in the real world.
Yomi Ship are a three-piece instrumental prog/art/math rock band from Perth, Western Australia. With four EP’s and an album on the way, Yomi Ship have consistently performed and toured over the last seven years, becoming one of Perth’s most respected and inspirational acts. In 2023 alone, Yomi Ship has shared the stage with legends Animals as Leaders, Mdou Moctar (Niger), I Built the Sky, Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, Chaos Divine, and coming up this month Delta Sleep and SEIMS for and Australian tour. In 2022, Yomi Ship were invited to join the lineup of Destroy All Lines “Monolith Festival” tour featuring Prog giants, Karnivool, COG, Plini, plus sleepmakesswaves, Ocean Grove and Reliqa.
“The Izoku” is the first release and first track from Yomi Ship‘s highly anticipated debut album, scheduled for release early 2024 through Birds Robe Records. Recorded at Studio Sleepwalkers Dread with Ron Pollard of Tangled Thoughts of Leaving, “The Izoku” is a 6-minute Prog Rock journey that will challenge the listener’s ability to predict which way the song will go next.
