Robeone is the moniker for synth vitruoso Robert Schindler, originally from North Carolina, USA. An experienced keyboard player, he has played and collaborated in various Progressive Rock, Jazz and other projects. The new album “Dream Suite” was released on October 03, 2022 and contains 6 medium-length tracks including an epic over 20 minutes long. All proceeds from sales of the album will be donated to the Bob Moog Foundation. The artist mixes different genres and styles throughout the album, playing and modulating numerous keyboards and synth sounds. Entirely instrumental, it shows the artist’s virtuoso technique in moving from more elaborate to softer moments. The references to the style of keyboard legends such as Jon Lord, Keith Emerson and Ayers are evident, being, according to the artist, her sources of inspiration. Each track has its own original style, managing to move from more electronic tracks with Ambient and Cosmic sounds to more prog tracks passing through Jazz and New Age. A successful and engaging mix and tracklist that valorises the artist’s technique, which with the sole use of keyboards manages to convey very intense emotions from beginning to end. Difficult to categorise with a precise genre so as not to detract from the large number of ideas and sophisticated passages contained within the disc. We can certainly say that it is recommended listening for lovers of keyboard sounds in all its forms and styles, combining tradition with an innovative touch and forays into the most avant-garde electronics. The compositions are of a high standard, as is the execution, which is very technical and of an absolute high standard.
