Sounds Of New Soma is an Avant-Garde Psychedelic/Space Kraut duo with 11 albums to their credit. The new album “Musique Bizarre” was released on May 25, 2022 via Tonzonen Records and contains 12 tracks featuring numerous guests. Long instrumental plots that mix different genres and styles, including Avant-garde, Psychedelia and Krautrock with forays into Space and Ambient. With analogue and electronic instrumentation that interchange by combining retro sounds with more modern ones thanks to the personal touch of the band and that of the guests who collaborate on the tracks. Each song has its own style given by the different setting of the musicians involved, who bring a touch of their project to the sound of the album. It is difficult to summarize in a single genre this work that offers us a real journey, or rather trip, through this vast range of lysergic and enveloping sounds. The modulations and effects used show how skilled they are in the manipulation and processing of sounds, as well as the research done by this duo that allows them to propose ever new and original sounds. An interesting journey to discover sounds, overcoming the barriers given by genres, thanks to this album the band takes us to the exploration of a very wide universe of sounds. A listening recommended for lovers of Avant-garde Psychedelia and Krautrock, another good record release by this duo that manages to project the sounds of the 70s into the future with an original personal touch.
