This German-based DIY project, dedicated to Doom Metal and its Atmospheric subgenres, has officially stepped into the light (or perhaps, a more fitting shade of grey) with its first curated compilation, “The Silent Remains,” released on May 27, 2026.

The journey begins with the veteran “Unorthodox Doom” of Germany’s Mirror of Deception, a band active since 1990, setting a high standard with “Death, Deliver Us.” From there, the compilation explores various territories:
Epic and Gothic Tones: Highlights include the majestic epic doom of Fvneral Fvkk and Anchorite, and the Gothic-tinged atmospheres of Italy’s Motus Tenebrae with the track “Solitude.”
Melancholic and Death/Doom: The listener is guided through the somber melodies of Finland’s Grain of Pain, the crushing weight of Germany’s Ophis, and the emotive death/doom of Befallen from the USA.
