[News] Iron Butterfly founder Doug Ingle dead at 78 and the previously unreleased track “I Love You” revealed

Lead singer, organ player and main songwriter of Iron Butterfly Doug Ingle passed away surrounded by family.

The Iron Butterfly Collective states on Facebook:

In Memory Of Doug Ingle  The song is called “I Love You”

Never before heard until now. Recorded in 1979 at Smoketree Ranch Studios, (Chatsworth CA). Doug and I spent months working on new material… this particular take was captured live (Doug on Piano & Vocal).

It wasn’t until late 2012 that the music was ultimately christened with the name of CareFeather. I wasn’t ready to post this incredible piece of music publicly- at least not just yet. The song deserves to be heard, especially now, so here it is.

Can you hear the missing orchestration? An Orchestra to start with? We hope to finish this song as well as numerous others.

The song title says it all. I Love you Doug
