It’s with a heavy heart that we must announce that The Blackheart Orchestra have had to pull out of Light Up. Some of you may know that Chrissy suffered a serious back injury leading to cancelled Hotel Utopia tour dates which was, of course, incredibly disappointing for all. Whist she had hoped to be fit by the launch, it’s now clear this won’t be the case so we wish her much love and a speedy recovery from here on in.

On a happier note, we’re absolutely delighted to announce that Tiger Moth Tales are stepping in to save the day. The wonderful Pete Jones will be performing his beautiful music from 5pm. Don’t miss this folks!! We can’t wait to see him live!

Grab a ticket and bring a friend for free by purchasing in advance and sending your receipt along with the name of your guest to solsticeprog@gmail.com. We’ll make sure they’re on the door.

I’ve been busy with preparations for next Sunday and relieved after a stressful few days following the message from Chrissy to say she just wasn’t going to be able to make the show. I really do feel for her… and such bad timing too in the wake of Hotel Utopia‘s release.
It looks like GEP will be releasing Light Up in January which means that unless you’ve pre-ordered the album, the launch will be the only way to get an advance copy from the limited stock we’ve been sent. If you’ve pre-ordered you can pickup on the day or GEP will mail it out to you asap afterwards. Huge thanks again to all those who crowdfunded the album in this way.

Wether or not you’re joining us on Sunday, please send us any questions you may have for our Q&A to solsticeprog@gmail.com. We’d really appreciate it and, as we’re filming it, you may well get an answer even if you’re not attending 😁 Here’s Martin with a bit more info.

Hot off the press,  this is the first album promo using footage from Veruno and some incredibly generous remarks from Jerry and Greg

I’d like to introduce you to animator, cover artist for both Sia and Light Up and creator of our logo, Shaun Blake.

Shaun’s a lovely guy who I’ve got to know through Jenny‘s fiddle teaching. We’re so grateful for his creative input  over the last 2 years.

Here he is after this morning’s fiddle lesson sporting a rather fetching hat and CD.

All for now, bread and butter gig tonight and time to load up and drive to Leicester.

Thank you all so much for your support and hope to see you next Sunday
Andy X
