After releasing four incredible singles and related videos, Canadian Prog Metal guitarist Morgan Reid has revealed new details about his debut album “Terran.” The album will be released on 25 November and will be available in CD format, as well as on major streaming and digital download platforms.
The twelve tracks of “Terran” mix shredding, modern riffs and expressive melodic lines. The album will take the listener to an alternative version of Earth, where one can observe what has devastated humanity. Each track has a theme or, if you like, a story.
“Terran” is also a summary of various life experiences and interests that have led Morgan Reid to be the well-rounded artist he is today. Alongside his work as a musician, which includes world tours with the British band Bloodshot Dawn – Morgan is also a professional dancer and choreographer. He and his wife founded the dance company “Phase-Zero Productions” in Leipzig, Germany, where they have been creating shows since 2014. Morgan has always been interested in what drives people and aspires to find a balance between groove, catchy and epic elements in his music. Using literary terminology, we can say that Morgan Reid‘s music is a sonic èpos – a musical narrative of heroic deeds. This music demands your attention and will make you move as the wind blows.
“Terran” was performed, written, produced and mixed by Morgan Reid, mastered by Alan Sacha Laskow. The drums were performed by Florian Schwalbe, while the cello was played by Friedrich Thiele. Morgan Reid took care of the artwork, using an artificial intelligence algorithm called “Midjourney.” The photo is by Ekaterina Gorbacheva.
